Scope
This standard specifies the testing methods for the interfaces, functions, performance, and network management of optical line terminals (OLTs) and optical network units (ONUs) in 10 Gbit/s Ethernet passive optical networks (10G EPON).
This standard is applicable to 10G EPON devices in public telecommunications networks, and it can also be used as a reference for private telecommunications networks.
