Scope

This standard applies to the calibration of new, in-use, and repaired ordinary cardiac defibrillators (hereinafter referred to as defibrillators) and cardiac defibrillation monitors (hereinafter referred to as defibrillation monitors) in the defibrillation section (including the impact of the defibrillation section on the electrocardiogram monitoring section during defibrillation); it does not apply to the calibration of automatic external defibrillators and implantable defibrillators. The metrological characteristics and calibration of the electrocardiogram monitoring section of defibrillation monitors can be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of the JJG 760—2003 Electrocardiogram Monitor Calibration Procedure.
