Scope

This standard specifies the method of ultrasonic flaw detection for copper and copper alloy plates using the A-type ultrasonic pulse reflection contact method. The content includes the principle, qualifications of flaw detection personnel, requirements for flaw detection devices, flaw detection methods, evaluation and grading of defects, and flaw detection reports, etc. This standard is applicable to ultrasonic flaw detection of copper and copper alloy plates with a thickness of 6 mm to 70 mm. It is an ultrasonic pulse reflection method for detecting internal and near-surface metal discontinuities in copper plates. For copper plates of other thicknesses, the method can be used as a reference.
