Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and contract (or purchase order) contents for composite zirconia powders.
This standard applies to composite zirconia powders produced using raw materials such as industrial zirconium tetrachloride octahydrate, high-purity yttrium oxide, and crystalline aluminum chloride, and employing processes such as co-precipitation, calcination, ball milling, spray granulation, and airflow pulverization. These powders are used in the production of zirconia structural ceramics and related chemical products.
