Scope

This standard specifies the ultrasonic testing method and evaluation of testing results for in-service pylon porcelain insulators and porcelain bushings in power grids. This standard applies to ultrasonic testing of high-voltage pylon porcelain insulators with an outer diameter of not less than Φ80mm and disconnectors, current transformers, voltage transformers (including capacitive voltage transformers), and lightning arresters with an outer diameter of not less than Φ150mm in power plants, substations, converter stations, and indoor and outdoor installations. This standard is also applicable to the detection of equipment during installation and maintenance in the power supply industry.
