Scope
This document specifies the instrumentation, equipment, and materials for the pH value test method of friction materials, as well as the sample preparation, test procedures, result presentation, and test reports. This document is applicable to the determination of the pH value of brake linings and clutch facings used in automobiles. Other types of friction materials can be used as a reference for this test.
