Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, testing methods, and testing results of the ISO standard sand grain size detection method in China. This document includes two methods: sieve analysis and laser method. Sieve analysis is the reference method, suitable for standard sand grain size process detection and product conformity determination. Laser method is an alternative method, suitable for grain size process control in standard sand production.
