Scope

This standard specifies the items, requirements, and specific contents for the quality acceptance of lightning protection devices during construction. This standard applies to the quality acceptance of lightning protection devices in the following locations: a) Oil depots, gas depots, ammunition depots, chemical warehouses, fireworks and pyrotechnics, petrochemical, and other flammable and explosive construction projects and sites; b) Mining areas, tourist attractions, or buildings and facilities in operation located in areas prone to lightning, which require the separate installation of lightning protection devices; c) Large-scale projects with high lightning risk and no lightning protection standards or specifications, which require special assessments. The quality acceptance of lightning protection devices in other locations may be used as a reference.
