Scope

This standard specifies the principle, significance, and application of the rapid bubble method for measuring dynamic surface tension of chemicals, as well as the instruments and equipment, reagents and materials, calibration and standardization, experimental procedures, calculations, and reporting.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the free energy of the instantaneous liquid-gas interface formed on the surface.
This standard is applicable to liquids with a vapor pressure of less than or equal to 30.0 kPa and a kinematic viscosity of less than or equal to 4.0 mm/s at the test temperature.
