Scope

Scope: This document specifies the main technical requirements for the cultivation of double-container seedlings of trees, including site selection and preparation, suitable tree species, double-container materials and specifications, seedling substrate, cultivation techniques, seedling delivery, quarantine, and seedling archiving. This document is applicable to the cultivation of double-container seedlings of tree species, and is voluntarily adopted by the industry. Main technical content: 4. Site selection and preparation: - Select a location with convenient transportation, sufficient labor resources, and reliable water and electricity supply. - The nursery site should be contiguous, with sufficient sunlight, flat terrain, and good drainage. - Nursery roads should facilitate the operation of transport vehicles and lifting cranes. - The production area can be paved with horticultural mulch or crushed gravel. 5. Suitable tree species: - Tree species that are not tolerant to transplantation, have deep root systems, or are prone to root neck formation; - Tree species planted out of season due to production needs; - Tree species that can successfully overwinter and summer in containers. 6. Double-container materials and specifications: - Planting containers include single containers, or combined containers with wire frames and root isolation materials. - Fixed containers can be made of hard plastic, hollow-wall polyethylene, fiberglass with gravel reinforcement, or bamboo-wrapped composite pipes. - The inner diameter of the fixed container should be 20–30 cm larger than the planting container diameter, and the height should be 10–15 cm higher. - Place 2–4 cm crushed gravel with a 20 cm thickness at the bottom of the planting pit; place the fixed container at the center of the planting pit; fill the space between the fixed and planting containers with perlite, ensuring the perlite height is 20–30 cm bel
