Scope

本标准规定了一种通过氯仿熏蒸杀死新鲜土壤微生物后，测定其可提取的有机物质总量，估算土壤微生物生物量的方法。本标准仅描述了可提取有机碳含量的测定，但该方法同时也适用于估算土壤中的微生物氮含量及微生物茚三酮反应氮含量。本标准适用于土壤pH值范围较大的好氧和厌氧(渍水、水田)土壤微生物生物量的测定。本标准也适用于含易分解有机底物和硫酸钾溶液过饱和土壤中微生物生物量的测定。
注：氯仿熏蒸也影响土壤动物，但这类生物的碳贡献一般很少(<5%)，通常可以忽略。
