Scope

This standard specifies the basic technical requirements for safety management, including the conditions for open flame operations on ships, the testing of flammable gas concentrations, and the measurement of wind direction and wind speed.
This standard applies to marine operating ships during navigation, berthing, loading and unloading, and overhaul (excluding ships sent for repair in factories), but does not apply to liquefied gas ships and bulk chemical ships.
