Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, statistical scope, calculation principles and methods, and energy-saving management and measures for the energy consumption limits of industrial gas air separation units.
This standard applies to the calculation and assessment of energy consumption of air separation products (such as oxygen, nitrogen, and argon) produced and sold by enterprises using cryogenic and pressure swing adsorption methods, as well as the energy consumption control of new and modified/expanded projects. It does not apply to air separation units driven by steam turbines for main air compression, the assessment of enterprises producing air separation products for their own use, equipment using membrane separation methods for air separation, and pure liquefaction equipment. When necessary, the aforementioned devices can refer to this standard for use.
