Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements for single-ended fluorescent lamps for general lighting that use the lamps listed in Table 1.
This document specifies a specific method for manufacturers to demonstrate that their products comply with the requirements of this document based on the results of all product evaluations associated with the inspection records of finished lamps. This method is also used for product certification. This document details the batch inspection procedure, which conducts a limited evaluation of batches.
This document also specifies the photobiological safety requirements according to IEC 62471.
