Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and models, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of high-speed braiding machines used for wires and cables (hereinafter referred to as braiding machines).
This standard applies to braiding machines used for the shielding or protective layers of high-speed braided wires and cables, and also applies to braiding machines used for the protective layers of various non-metallic materials.
