Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for high-purity lead, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and quality certificates, as well as the content of contracts (or purchase orders).
This standard applies to 99.999% high-purity lead produced by electrolytic refining of 99.94% lead ingots in lead perchlorate solution (or lead fluorosilicate solution); and 99.999% high-purity lead produced by electrolytic refining of 99.999% high-purity lead. (These products are used in compound semiconductors, refrigeration components, infrared photoelectric conversion devices, high-efficiency temperature difference components, and soldering materials.)
