Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the total solid content of fresh natural latex, concentrated natural latex, and synthetic latex.
This standard is applicable to natural latex derived from Brazilian rubber trees, as well as synthetic latex.
This standard may not be applicable to natural latex derived from sources other than Brazilian rubber trees, nor to vulcanized latex, compounded latex, or rubber dispersion.
