Scope

1.0.1 In order to prevent rural fires, reduce fire hazards, and protect personal and property safety, these regulations are formulated. 1.0.2 These regulations apply to the following scopes: 1. Rural fire prevention planning; 2. Fire protection design for new, expanded, and renovated buildings in rural areas; 3. Fire protection renovation of existing rural buildings; 4. Rural fire safety management. Except as stipulated in these regulations, the fire protection design of rural factories, warehouses, public buildings, and residential buildings with a height exceeding 15 meters shall comply with the provisions of the current national standard GB 50016: Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings and other relevant regulations. 1.0.3 Rural fire prevention planning, building fire protection design, fire protection renovation of existing buildings, and fire safety management shall be implemented in conjunction with the local economic development status, ethnic customs, village scale, geographical environment, and building characteristics, and corresponding fire safety measures shall be taken to ensure safety, reliability, economic rationality, and convenience for production and daily life.
