Scope
This part of GB/T 21714 provides the general principles that should be followed for lightning protection of buildings (including their facilities, internal objects, and people).
The following situations are not within the scope of this part:
—— Railway systems;
—— Vehicles, ships, aircraft, offshore facilities;
—— Underground high-pressure pipelines;
—— Pipelines, power supply lines, and communication lines installed outside buildings.
Note: These systems are usually governed by professional standards established by various professional authorities.
