Scope

This standard specifies the specimens, testing instruments and equipment, test solutions, test conditions and procedures, evaluation of test results, and test reports for the intergranular corrosion test method of low-chromium ferritic stainless steel. This standard is applicable to the sulfuric acid and copper sulfate corrosion test method for inspecting low-chromium ferritic stainless steel (usually with a chromium content of less than 16%) in weakly oxidizing corrosive media.
