Scope
This standard specifies two analytical methods for glass fiber resistance to chemical media: -- Method A: mass loss rate method; -- Method B: mass loss per unit surface area method. This standard is applicable to the analysis of the performance of glass fibers resistant to chemical media, such as alkali-free, medium-alkali, alkali-resistant, and high-strength glass fibers. Other fibers can also be used as reference for this purpose.
