Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, method outlines, reagents, instrumentation, installation environment conditions, sampling, determination, result processing and expression, and test reports for determining the biomass content in wood-plastic composites by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.
This standard is applicable to the determination of biomass content in non-foamed composites made from wood or other cellulose-based biomass and thermoplastic plastics (PP and PE) as the main raw materials, which are processed by extrusion, injection molding, and calendering methods.
The determination range of this standard is for biomass content of approximately 30% to 60%.
