Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, collection content and methods, data attribute structure, quality control, and acceptance criteria for the collection of highway geographic information, as well as the operational process for collecting highway geographic information using mobile road surveying technology.
This standard applies to the collection, processing, and exchange of basic geographic information for highway engineering construction when establishing geographic information databases and related geographic information systems at all levels; it is applicable to the data collection and updating of national, provincial, and county highways at scales of 1:10,000, 1:50,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000. The collection of data for township roads and special highways, as well as the collection and updating of highway data at a scale of 1:5,000, can also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
