Scope

This document specifies the requirements for nucleic acid detection techniques commonly used in the diagnosis of shrimp hepatopancreatic parvovirus disease. For hepatopancreatic parvovirus (HPV), it provides the reagents or materials, instruments and equipment, samples, experimental steps, and result determination required for PCR detection.
This document is applicable to the qualitative detection of HPV in shrimp samples at all life stages, for the purpose of conducting epidemiological investigations, diagnosis, quarantine, and monitoring of shrimp hepatopancreatic parvovirus disease.
