Scope
This standard specifies the principles, equipment, and materials, as well as the test conditions and operating procedures for determining the sewability of sewing threads (flat sewing). This standard is applicable to products such as polyester, nylon, vinylon, aramid, and cotton sewing threads used in sewing garments and home textiles, as well as waxed cotton sewing threads and core-wrapped sewing threads. Sewing threads for other purposes can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
