Scope

This standard specifies the definition, requirements, and test methods for backflow preventers.
This standard applies to backflow preventers used in pipelines with a nominal pressure of 0.4 MPa to 2.5 MPa and a temperature not exceeding 80°C, transporting clean water or substances with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water, with a nominal diameter of 10 mm to 400 mm.
