Scope

This standard specifies the method of using ammonia gas accelerated testing to examine the sensitivity of brass finished products to stress corrosion cracking.
This standard is applicable to the inspection of brass finished products (such as valves, faucets, etc.) that have undergone casting, forging, welding, cold deformation, heat treatment, or cutting processing, as well as finished product assemblies. It is also applicable to the inspection of semi-finished products and assemblies simulating their installation and use states.
