Scope

This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the determination method for cerium, lanthanum, and scandium content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. This part is applicable to the determination of cerium, lanthanum, and scandium content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. Aluminum in aluminum and aluminum alloys interferes with the determination of cerium, lanthanum, and scandium. To eliminate the interference, an equal amount of aluminum is added to the working curve. Cerium, lanthanum, and scandium do not interfere with each other, and other coexisting elements do not interfere with the determination. The determination range is: cerium: 0.005%~0.90%, lanthanum: 0.005%~0.50%, scandium: 0.0002%~0.50%.
