Scope
This standard specifies a general method for converting oxalates into azo compounds and determining them by colorimetry. This standard is applicable to the determination of trace amounts of oxalates in organic reagents. The detection range of spectrophotometry is 1 μg/mL to 20 μg/mL (calculated as C2O4), and the detection range of visual colorimetry is 0.4 μg/mL to 20 μg/mL (calculated as C2O4).
