Scope
This standard specifies the liquid-phase chip detection method for the components of common animal species in livestock and poultry products.
This standard is applicable to the qualitative detection of mammalian and ruminant components in livestock and poultry products such as meat and processed products, milk, hides, internal organs, and animal feed, as well as the components of 13 common meat or adulterated ingredients (camel, horse, donkey, yak, buffalo, dog, pig, elk, sheep, chicken, duck, rat, and mouse). The minimum detection limit of the method is (by mass percentage): 5% for buffalo, 1% for mammals, ruminants, dogs, sheep, chickens, rats, and mice, and 0.1% for camels, yaks, elks, pigs, horses, donkeys, and ducks.
