Scope

This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods for exhaust pollutants and evaporative pollutants of motorcycles equipped with spark-ignition engines, as well as the requirements for crankcase emissions, the durability of pollution control devices, and the technical requirements for on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems. This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods for exhaust pollutants of three-wheeled motorcycles equipped with compression-ignition engines, as well as the durability of pollution control devices and the technical requirements for on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems. This standard specifies the requirements for type testing of motorcycles, and the methods for inspecting and determining production consistency. This standard applies to motorcycles powered by spark-ignition engines with a maximum design speed of more than 50km/h or a displacement of more than 50ml, and to three-wheeled motorcycles powered by compression-ignition engines with a maximum design speed of more than 50km/h or a displacement of more than 50ml.
