Scope
This standard specifies the quality requirements, sampling, inspection methods, and grading of fresh silkworm cocoons. This standard is applicable to quality inspection and supervision during the trading of fresh silkworm cocoons. For farmers selling 100kg or more of cocoons at a time, the quality inspection shall be conducted using the dry shell weight method. With the seller's consent, the full cocoon weight method may also be used for quality inspection; for farmers selling less than 100kg of cocoons at a time, the full cocoon weight method shall be used for quality inspection.
