Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for self-monitoring by polluting units in the onshore oil and gas extraction industry, the formulation of monitoring plans, and the basic contents and requirements for information recording and reporting. This standard applies to self-monitoring by polluting units in the onshore oil and gas extraction industry of water and air pollutants they emit during the production and operation phase, as well as noise and the impact on the surrounding environmental quality. Unconventional oil and gas extraction units such as oil sands, oil shale, shale gas, coal bed methane, and natural gas hydrates may refer to this standard for self-monitoring. The self-monitoring requirements for self-owned thermal power generators (plants) and supporting power boilers shall be implemented in accordance with HJ 820.
