Scope
This standard specifies the reception requirements for low- and medium-level radioactive solid waste by overpressure treatment facilities, including the types of waste that can be accepted, the radioactive characteristics and other relevant properties of the waste packaging and its contents. It also stipulates the specifications and dimensions of the waste packaging containers and the waste reception process, and clarifies the quality assurance measures during the waste reception process. This standard applies to the reception of low- and medium-level radioactive compactible solid waste prior to overpressure treatment.
