Scope
This document specifies the principles, sample preparation, testing equipment, testing methods, and testing reports for the content of non-metallic inclusions in steel billets.
This document is applicable to the detection of the content of non-metallic inclusions (with a size of not less than 30 μm) in steel billets that have not been rolled, deformed, or subjected to other processing. Non-metallic inclusions with a size of less than 30 μm can also be used for reference if permitted by the equipment.
