Scope
This standard specifies the thermal acid corrosion method, the cold acid corrosion method (including dendritic corrosion method) and the electrolytic corrosion method for inspecting the low-magnification microstructure and defects of steel.
This standard is applicable to the acid corrosion inspection of the low-magnification microstructure and defects of steel. The acid corrosion inspection of other materials can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
