Scope

This document specifies the classification and designations of high-strength and tough alloy structural steel rods used in deep-sea oilfield drilling, as well as the order content, dimensions, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This document applies to the manufacture of forged steel rods with a nominal diameter of 250 mm to 1,200 mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel rods") used in deep-sea oilfield drilling equipment.
