Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for high-purity antimony, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and the contents of purchase orders (or contracts).
This standard applies to high-purity antimony with a purity of not less than 99.999% and not less than 99.9999%, which is produced from industrial antimony through chlorination, distillation, hydrogen reduction, and distillation. The product is used in the preparation of Group III-V semiconductor materials, high-purity alloys, thermoelectric cooling elements, and as dopants for silicon and germanium single crystals.
