Scope

This standard specifies the general technical requirements that communication satellites and earth stations must meet when entering the domestic satellite communication system and when the domestic satellite communication system enters the domestic communication network. This standard applies to the fixed service of geostationary orbit (GSO) satellites, and to domestic satellite communication systems composed of domestic communication satellites and leased satellite transponders or beams. This standard applies to various modulation and multiple access methods, such as S(M)CPC/PSK/FDMA, TDM/PSK/FDMA, TDMA, ATM, DVBs, and DVB-RCS.
