Scope

This part specifies an engineering method (Level 2 accuracy) that uses sound intensity to measure the sound pressure level emitted from the working position and other specified positions of machines and equipment on-site. This method is an alternative on-site measurement method to GB/T 17248.2, GB/T 17248.3, and GB/T 17248.5. When the background noise and sound field index meet the requirements, this method is suitable for all test environments. This part is applicable to equipment that emits steady-state broadband noise. These noises may vary during different operating cycles, and the noise may or may not have discrete frequency components or narrowband components.
