GB/T 17428-2009 Fire resistance test methods of ventilation ducts

Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the fire resistance of horizontal ventilation ducts under standard fire conditions, used to verify the fire resistance of ventilation ducts when subjected to external fire (duct A) and internal fire (duct B). The fire resistance test for vertical ducts can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
This standard does not apply to:
a) Ducts whose fire resistance depends on the fire resistance of the ceiling;
b) Ducts with inspection doors, unless the inspection doors are included in the duct for testing;
c) Ducts with two or three sides;
d) Smoke exhaust ducts;
e) Hanging fixtures connected to walls or floors.
