Scope

This standard specifies the content of boric acid, water-insoluble matter, sulfate, heavy metals, arsenic, impurity elements (sodium, iron, calcium, magnesium, aluminum, silica), anions (fluoride, chloride, bromide, sulfate, nitrate, phosphate) and boron (10B/11B) abundance ratio in industrial boric acid; the determination methods for the chloride content in industrial boric acid, boron oxide, and disodium tetraborate; and the iron content in industrial boric acid, boron oxide, disodium tetraborate, sodium perborate, and crude sodium borate.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of the corresponding substances in industrial borides.
