Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking for self-locking devices with flexible guide rails.
This standard applies to self-locking devices with flexible guide rails for use by people whose combined weight and load do not exceed 100 kg. When the total weight of the user (including their tools and equipment) exceeds 100 kg, they should consult the manufacturer and only use the device after passing the test.
This standard does not apply to flexible guide rails with an inclination angle exceeding 15° relative to the vertical direction.
