Scope

1.0.1 In order to standardize the urban gas graphic symbols and their production, use, and maintenance management, and to give full play to the safety warning and guidance role of the symbols, this standard is formulated. 1.0.2 This standard applies to the production, transmission, and distribution systems of urban gas and various gas-related sites, as well as the production, use, and maintenance management of their graphic symbols. 1.0.3 Urban gas symbols shall consist of safety colors, graphic symbols, and text, and shall have the characteristics of simplicity, comprehensibility, and easy recognition. They should be able to convey clear and specific warning information. 1.0.4 In addition to complying with this standard, the production, use, and maintenance management of urban gas graphic symbols shall also comply with the provisions of the relevant national standards currently in force.
