Scope
This document adopts an approach consistent with the Life Cycle Assessment Standards (GB/T 24040 and GB/T 24044) and stipulates the principles, requirements, and guidelines for quantifying and reporting the carbon footprint of products and parts of products.
This document is applicable to research related to the carbon footprint of products, and the results can be applied to different scenarios. Carbon offsetting and the exchange of information on the carbon footprint of products or parts of products are not within the scope of this document.
This document only addresses a single type of environmental impact, namely climate change, and does not evaluate other potential environmental impacts arising from the product life cycle, nor does it assess the social and economic impacts that may occur during the product life cycle.
