Scope

This part of GB/T 20779 specifies the technical requirements for silicone rubber- or (tertiary) ethylene-propylene rubber-based mixtures used in insulating and semi-conductive components of cable accessories. This part applies to insulating and semi-conductive rubber products or components used in power equipment to withstand working electric fields and provide electrical safety protection, but does not include rubber materials used for insulating and semi-conductive layers of wires and cables.
