Scope

This standard specifies the determination of the contents of phosphorus, manganese, chromium, cobalt, copper, and silicon using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES).
This standard is applicable to the determination of the contents of phosphorus, manganese, chromium, cobalt, copper, and silicon in nickel-iron alloys. The content ranges of each element determined by this method are shown in Table 1.
The silicon determined by this method is acid-soluble silicon.
