Scope
This standard specifies the post-mission disposal requirements for GEO satellites, including the requirements for deorbiting and passivation after the mission, the specific implementation, and the requirements for document preparation. This standard applies to the post-mission disposal of GEO satellites (hereinafter referred to as satellites), and the post-mission disposal of other geostationary orbit (GSO) satellites can be implemented with reference to this standard.
