Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, order content, classification and grades, dimensions, shapes and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for stainless steel wire used in cold forging.
This standard applies to round-section stainless steel wire (hereinafter referred to as "steel wire") used in the manufacture of fasteners such as bolts, screws, and rivets, as well as cold-formed parts.
