Scope
This standard specifies a method for determining the cloud point index of non-ionic surfactants—the volumetric method. This standard is applicable to low-alkoxylated non-ionic surfactants (1 to 5 ethylene oxide groups), whose hydrophobic groups are provided by alcohols/alkylphenols or fatty acids (with a melting point below 30 °C).
This standard is also applicable to lipophilic groups derived from alcohols, alkylphenols, or fatty acids.
